Malys' first weeks in Early Access!

100% positive on Steam + first update LIVE 🔥

Hi folks,

We recently released our unholy roguelite deckbuilder Malys into Early Access and the response has been overwhelming! We’re currently sitting at 100% positive on Steam with over 60 reviews.

HUGE thanks to all of the folks who have played, reviewed, shared, and confusingly texted their dad at 3am! We couldn’t do it without you - or your dad!

Papa?

In the time since then, we released a devlog talking about the release and how we plan to address specific pieces of feedback. Today, we shipped our first update to Malys and we're eager to hear your thoughts!

This update focuses on bugs and demons…and maybe even some bug-demons? (The Many as One, I’m looking at you). We’ve implemented some high priority fixes and infested the city with some brand new demons for you to exorcise. You can read more about the update over on Steam!

We’re absolutely stoked with the release and can’t wait to keep working on the game, and make it something really special.

But don’t take our word, take yours! Here’s what folk have had to say in our Steam reviews:

‘Malys is already something special’

‘[Malys] may have cured me of my current EA phobia’

‘Never been a deckbuilding kind of guy…but I've just completed my first run and got to say had a blast.’

‘The little goth deckbuilder of my dreams’

‘Suuuuch a fkn vibe, every aspect of the game--writing, visuals, gameplay--stands on its own, but put them together and you get something incredibly promising.’

‘The music goes super hard and everyone looks hot’

‘This is the first deckbuilder game I have tried and I loved it!’

We read each and every one so thank you to those of you who have left them. Reviews are one of the best ways you can support us as a studio, they help increase visibility on Steam and communicate to other players if a game is worth a shot. If you want to leave a review for Malys you can jump on over to Steam here!

Finally, we’d love to hear from our fellow exorcists! Regarding exorcisms - what do you like about them, what don't you like, what do you wish was happening? So tell us - what are your favourite and least favourite exorcisms, and why? We want to know it all! Reply to this email, or let us know via socials!

May the demons leave you in peace,

Love, Summerfall
